When considering the many different spirits that our people deal with in their repentance, a common lust is that of witchcraft. Witchcraft is commonly defined as the practice of dark magic, sorcery and the invocation of spirits. As a commandment, The Most high especially warns the children of Israel not to deal with those that seek after familiar spirits.

“Galatians 5:19-20

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, …”

​

“ Leviticus 19: 31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I [am] the LORD your God."

​

The Most High considers this the defiling of oneself. Not only this, but the Most High makes it clear on what the judgment is to Israelites (so called Blacks and Hispanics) that choose to seek and practice witchcraft.

“Leviticus 20:6 - And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.”

​

The scriptures show that dealing with witchcraft can result in the Most High putting that individual to death. Knowing this, it is imperative that Israelites must understand the various different forms of witchcraft in order to avoid the aforementioned.

“Exodus 22:18 - Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.”

​

"Leviticus 20:27 - A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood [shall be] upon them.”

​

    The Lord is against those that are witches or wizards. A Witch commonly refers  to a sorceress,  or one that utilizes black magic such as voodoo, wizards and likewise.

​

“Deuteronomy 18:10-11 - There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,  Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.”

​

“2 Chronicles 33:6 - And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.”

In these verses, passing through the fire translates into child sacrifice. In a lot of ritualistic practices, the sacrificing of children is common. This was primarily done during the Aztec and Mayan empires where the Hispanic and Native tribes would honor false gods by the sacrificing of their children. Today, there are still many cases of children going missing during wicked holidays such as Halloween. Divination means those that seek knowledge of the future by supernatural means. Examples of this act today are palm readers, orbuculum or crystal ball users and fortune tellers. Observing Times goes primarily into the reading of horoscopes, something many Israelites today are partakers of. Enchanters or Charmers are those that use spells in order to seduce, manipulate, inflict mischief or harm on others. An example of this is hexing or bewitching. The Lord commands us not to deal with these spirits because it is evil. A Consulter with Familiar Spirits refers to those that conjure up spirits or converse with the dead. An example of this in the scriptures can be found in the book of 1 Samuel 28:6-19 where King Saul sought the help and guidance from a witch. In this he conjured up the spirit of Samuel, but because of this wicked act the Lord killed Saul and delivered the children of Israel to their enemies. Necromancers are defined as those that practice devious arts, chiefly affiliated with the deceased.

“1 Samuel 15:23 - For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king.”

​

“1 Timothy 6:20 - O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called”.

​

Rebellion against the commandments of the Most High is also considered a form of witchcraft. Additionally, something universally used currently by Esau is his science. Science against the Most High and his scriptures is another form of Witchcraft. These are all things we must be mindful of in our repentance and walk in Christ.

“1 Corinthians 10:21 - Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.”

​

The scriptures call those that practice witchcraft the partakers of devils. The Most High gives us the solutions on how to overcome such practices and what he wants his people to do if they are in the midst of practicing witchcraft..

​

“Acts 19:19 - Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all [men]: and they counted the price of them, and found [it] fifty thousand [pieces] of silver.”

​

“Isaiah 34:16 - Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit.”

​

The Israelites are commanded to burn all the books that teach falsehoods and witchcraft.  Our people should not be dealing with books that teach us curious arts, such as the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Kabbalah and more. Instead, the Lord commands us to seek out of his word and learn. If we continue to deal with these things the scriptures make it clear what the end result will be.

“Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

​

“Revelation 22:15 - For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”

 

The kingdom of heaven will not be given to those that continue to practice in the various forms of witchcraft.
